Two and a Half Years on.....

Black Saturday is ingrained in our memories and its hard to believe two and a half years have passed since that terrible day. Our family farm was unfortunately effected by these fires and the bush that surrounds the property still bares the scars of the devastation.
With time, the recent rains and some early Spring sun - the bush has come alive. We took a walk on the weekend to see what new growth was coming through and found a thick, purple carpet of native Hardenbergia (Sarsparila).
It was a striking sight - the charred tree tops with new thick green growth and bright purple as far as the eye could see. The wattles are also sporting bright yellow flowers and there are red "running postman" flowers snaking along the ground.
If you find yourself anywhere near the areas that were affected it is well worth taking a detour to take in some of these views and marvel at how nature bounces back.
Sneaky Peek

We have been busy, busy, busy launching our new summer collection "In a Day" to Elk stockists and the media. A busy month of promotion will end this weekend at a trade only event - Life In Style. We have had an incredible reaction to the new range and can't wait to share it with everyone. You should see product starting to trickle into stores from the end of August and then online and in the Elk store early September.....hold tight, it's coming!!!!!
